Writer/director Larry Cohen's 1982 release Q: The Winged Serpent is a bit of a throwback to the fright films of another era, as an enormous flying monster creates havoc and destruction. This film came together quickly after Cohen was fired from I, the Jury and decided to capitalize on this and make the best use of a hotel room in Manhattan which had already been paid for.
